It may be run from any location. It only works (to my knowledge) on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
2. Guide
In order to use the program you will have to have your audio hardware and drivers properly configured and have a microphone (or other audio signal source) plugged in.
The driver should be set to 'record' from that input.
Alright, now that you've got that set up, point the microphone at your instrument and play a note.
If everything is working properly, you should see a funky waveform on the 'screen' of the program, and a letter and maybe a sharp (#) sign below it, with one or more arrows, indicating what note is being played, and how sharp/flat it is of that note.
More arrows on the right means the note is sharp, more arrows on the left means it's flat. Three arrows on either side means it's in tune.
There is a pop-up menu which is accessed by right clicking anywhere on the program interface. It offers various options such as input selection and the ability to turn on/off the display of the waveform and frequency.
