It will adjust itself to the sun, wind, weather and views by rotating each floor separately.

This building will never appear exactly the same twice.

It is amazing but you will have the choice of waking up to sunrise in your bedroom and enjoying sunsets over the ocean at dinner.

In addition to being such an incredible engineering miracle it will produce energy for itself and even for other buildings because it will have wind turbines fitted between each rotating floor.
So an 80-story building will have up to 79 wind turbines, making it a true green power plant.

OQYANA is an archipelago of artificial islands which make up the Australasian continent and the New Zealand islands of The World development, off the coast of Dubai.

The islands were purchased by The Investment Dar (a company based in Kuwait) and EFAD Holdings.

The islands were first purchased in 2005 and are being created as a lifestyle destination and community with approximately 2,000 apartments, 200 villas and luxury hotels.

Features of the development include a cultural centre for performing arts, a conference centre, leisure facilities, restaurants, cafes and island lifestyle specific retail.

Derived from the Arabic word “Oceanic”, OQYANA World First is surrounded by sea, a domain set against the breathtaking Dubai skyline.

The islands were selected as they are one of the closest group of islands from Dubai, and also have the best view of the city.

OQYANA WORLD FIRST is located 4 km from the coastline of Dubai and will occupy a total area of 1.87 million square meters (20 million square feet) and a total upland area of 417 thousand square meters (4.5 million square feet). It will contain 17 kilometres (10.5 miles) of inter-linked walkways, 15,000 meters (50,000 ft) of shore front and a marina with over 1,500 private yacht berths.

The islands are planned to be terraformed by the developers, meeting the investors specifications.

The land is planned to be handed over in the third quarter of 2008 by the developer, Nakheel, with construction starting in late 2008 or early 2009.
